PF row: Power employees welcome CM Yogi’s move
UP Power Corporation employees welcomed the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s move of ensuring the security of their provident fund deposit.
The Power Employee’s Joint Action Committee (PEJAC) said that they were now confident that the UP government would soon issue a gazette notification giving an undertaking that it would make payment of provident fund to the power employees.
On Thursday, Yogi Adityanath reviewed the situation arising out of the provident fund cash blocked in Deewan Housing Finance Company. The debt-ridden company defaulted in repayment of Rs 40,000 crore to PSU banks and also the payment obligations towards mutual fund, pension fund, fixed deposits and other borrowings.
