Electrical JE held taking bribe

Electrical Junior Engineer (JE), Bhabani Shankar Mohanta, posted at the Godisahi Electric Section, was caught red-handed by the Vigilance police while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person to facilitate electricity connection to a house located near Trisulia in Cuttack district.

According to official reports, a Vigilance team laid a trap to nab the JE following a complaint by one Bijaya Patra, a resident of Malasahi under the Mangalabag police limits.

A Vigilance case has been registered against Mohanta in this connection.
