Petrol & Diesel

Most of the states have increased the tax rates on petrol and diesel substantially compared to the tax rates in July 2013. Only a few have retained it at the same level, while none has decreased the tax rates (see table-2). Even the central taxes – custom duty and excise duty – have gone up substantially.
