NHAI framing policy to lodge FIR against contractors, consultants for fraudulent practices to bag projects
NEW DELHI: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is formulating a comprehensive policy guidelines for filing FIRs against contractors, consultants who resort to fraudulent practices for bagging projects.
The decision was taken after a similar case came to light of the highway building authority in which a company had submitted fraudulent documents while bidding for a package of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project falling in Haryana. In a statement, the authority said M/s Raj Corporation Ltd, Mainpuri, (UP) has been debarred from participating in any ongoing and future bids of NHAI for the next two years.
