New foot overbridge at Tatanagar station closed for repair

Within a month of inauguration the new railway foot overbridge at the Tatanagar railway station has added to the woes of passengers, especially the elderly ones and differently abled.

The new foot overbridge was inaugurated last month by Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto.

But, the Rs 1.96 crore foot bridge has been closed for the last two days due to some repair work.” It was urgent to repair.

The overbridge was closed for some renovation work . The engineering wing has plans to put up granite on the stairs. We wanted to enhance the look,” said H K Balmuchu, director of Tatanagar railway station. Officials of the railway station informed that the second foot overbridge is designed to help passengers to enter into platform no. 2, 3, 4 and 5.
