NBCC to offer independent engineering services to aviation sector
State-run NBCC NSE -2.57 % is set to enter the aviation sector by providing independent engineering services to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) as the government looks to privatise airport operations, PK Gupta, chairman and managing director of NBCC, told ET.
“We have already submitted bids for three airports—Trivandrum, Jaipur and Guwahati—where AAI is looking to appoint consultants to monitor work. While privatising an airport, AAI looks for independent engineering services to monitor the work and we believe we can offer that service,” Gupta said.
