Natural gas price decreases 12.5% on global cues

New Delhi: Domestic natural gas price fell 12.5% and the price cap for gas from difficult fields declined 9.5% in the six-monthly revision on Friday, in line with a decline in international rates.

This would cut profits for producers such as ONGCNSE -0.15 %, Reliance IndustriesNSE 0.48 %, Vedanta and Oil IndiaNSE 0.07 % while curbing costs for gasconsuming factories, homes and vehicles.
