Namma Metro Rail launches QR ticketing service on WhatsApp

Meta-owned WhatsApp and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) today announced a partnership to launch WhatsApp chatbot-based QR (quick response) ticketing service. The chatbot is integrated with UPI (United Payments Interface)-powered payments on WhatsApp and will allow commuters to purchase tickets and recharge their travel pass within WhatsApp.
