MoU signed with Japan govt for key work on bullet train network

THE National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Japan government, which has nominated a Special Purpose Company – Japan High-Speed Rail Electric Engineering Co. Ltd. (JE) – to execute core Japanese Shinkansen technologies works related to safety and punctuality of trains on Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train network.

According to the implementing agency, JE will carry out the works related to OCC (Operation Control Center) design contract, production and construction contracts, and PMC Contract for E1 Package on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor, ensuring the same level of safety and quality as of Shinkansen, Japan.
