Liquor cheaper, water & electricity dearer in U’khand: Arya

The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the State Assembly Yashpal Arya has said that the BJP government of Uttarakhand has revealed its true character by making liquor cheap and electricity, water and education expensive in the State. He said that a new slogan Blender (liquor) cheap, cylinder (cooking gas) expensive has become popular even among the children in the State.

Arya said that recently the State Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved the proposal of Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) to increase electricity rates by up to 9.64 percent, which will affect 27.50 lakh consumers of the State.
