Kullu villagers rue lack of road connectivity

Residents of Shakti, Maror and Shugad villages in the Sainj valley of Kullu district have reiterated their demand for road connectivity. In the absence of a motorable road, they have been facing problems for decades.

Tara Chand, a resident of Shakti village, says, “On July 15, Bina Devi fell critically ill. People had to walk 18 km carrying her to reach the road at Niharni from where she was taken in an ambulance to the Sainj hospital.”
