Kejriwal inspects Chandni Chowk redevelopment

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Urban Development Minister Satyender Jain on Thursday inspected redevelopment plan of Chandni Chowk.

During his visit, Kejriwal said Chandni Chowk area is historic and the entire area will be reconstructed into a beautiful tourist attraction.

While the most of redevelopment and beautification work have been done but road construction is yet to be completed.

Famous for the history associated with Delhi, the beautification project was targeted to end by March this year however road reconstruction could not be completed till May due to COVID lockdown.

Now, after Chief Minister A rvind Kejriwal’s visit, the area is expected to be reopened by the first week of November.
