INLD leader slams Centre over fuel price hikes
In view of the steady increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, INLD leader Chaudhary Abhay Chautala lashed out at the Centre and the BJP-JJP Government saying that it was like spraying salt on the wounds of the people.
In the last 16 days, diesel has become expensive by Rs 9.45 and petrol by Rs 8.30 per liter. The Central and State Government are continuously increasing the oil prices by increasing heavy taxes on it.
This is the biggest increase in the price of oil till date, he said. Chautala said, due to the Coronavirus epidemic, all the occupations have been badly affected, while people are losing their jobs and unemployment has reached its peak.
Crude oil prices have reached the lowest level in the international market but the Government is doing injustice to the public by continuously increasing the prices of oil, he added.
