Incomplete works make 47 squares waterlogging-prone
Nagpur: While the number of waterlogging-prone streets in the city has increased to 65 from 44 last year, 47 traffic junctions (chowks) have become susceptible to water accumulation due to incomplete connections of roads on all four directions.
A survey carried out by traffic cops from 10 zones under the guidance of deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Chetna Tidke has revealed this. Based on the findings, the police have handed over the list of such spots to the civic administration to take necessary action.
The survey also revealed that size of stormwater drain inlets has been reduced to half at several places.
