Hosur-Bengaluru Metro Line: CM Bommai gives his nod, lobs the ball into TN CM’s court
Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai has agreed to a proposal to extend the Electronic City metro line up to Hosur in Tamil Nadu, responding positively to a suggestion from the central government to consider the inter-state project.
His government has now lobbed the ball into Tamil Nadu’s court. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) managing director Anjum Parwez has written to the union housing & urban affairs ministry, conveying that the TN government could take up the study on linking Bommasandra in Bengaluru with Hosur in line with the Metro Rail Project Act and Metro Rail Policy, 2017.
