Heavy rains leave national highways riddled with potholes in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district
MANGALURU: The relentless rainfall that pounded the coast over the past week finally subsided on Sunday, giving way to intermittent mild showers that persisted throughout the day. Additionally, there was a considerable amount of sunshine for most of the day.
In terms of rainfall measurements, Ajjavara and Mandekolu, located in Sullia Taluk of Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district, recorded 149mm and 105mm respectively.
Renjala in Karkala Taluk, Udupi district received 95mm of rainfall. Across the coastal districts, the rainfall ranged from a minimum of 69mm to a high of 125mm.
