Gurugram hit by major power outage after transformer blaze disrupts supply

NEW DELHI: A major power outage hit Gurugram on Thursday after a fire broke out in the main transformer at the 220 KVA power station in Sector-72, disrupting electricity supply across several parts of the city.

“A power outage occurred in Gurugram after a fire broke out in the main transformer at the 220 KVA power station in Sector-72, causing electricity disruption in multiple areas of the city,” said Sandeep Chugh, PRO of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), Gurugram.
