In a significant development, the T2 section of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) is set to emerge as a fully functional international terminal, marking a major shift in operations. Commencing from Thursday morning, a total of 27 airlines, including prominent carriers like Air India and IndiGo, will be relocating from T1 to the expansive new facility that spans an impressive 2,55,645 square meters, reports TOI.
An official from KIA told TOI, “Singapore Airlines’ SQ 508 is scheduled to touch down at T2 at 10.55 am, followed by SQ 509 departing for Singapore at 11.45 am, marking the inaugural international flights from the new terminal.”
