Even during lockdown CCL records 62.59 MT production

During the lockdown of last year which fall in the financial year 2020-21 Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) performed well in both the areas-production and dispatch. The Company produced 62.59 MT coal, 103.62 MM3 overburden and dispatched 65.4 MT coal. Despite a very challenging working environment there was a growth in overburden removal.

Lockdown was declared in India on March 24 of the last year and lasted several months. During the lockdown in spite of severe restrictions on movement and COVID 19 toll on the workforce the company rose to the occasion by maintaining steady supply of coal to consumers, offering COVID 19 care to patients in the company’s hospitals and donating generously to Prime Minister Cares Fund , Jharkhand Government and the district administration.
