Coal scam: TMC threatens BJP of defamation suit

The Trinamool Congress have threatened BJP leaders like Suvendu Adhikari with criminal defamation case after audio tapes allegedly implicating an arrested police officer and a second person who in the tape reportedly referred to the name of a top TMC leader and MP from South Kolkata.

“The BJP leaders have referred to the names of our top leaders without any proof or substance … our party is contemplating criminal defamation against these leaders,” Bengal minister Bratya Basu said.
