DGCA OKs new version of HAL 19-seater aircraft

BENGALURU: Defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on Monday said a new variant of its aircraft ‘Hindustan 228-201 LW’ has been approved by the directorate general of civil aviation (DGCA).

“This variant has maximum take-off weight of 5,695kg with 19 passenger capability. With this modification, the aircraft would fall in the sub-5,700kg aircraft category,” HAL said.
