Cabinet approves power subsidy extension, aids for divyangs, Advocates’ Welfare Scheme

The Delhi Cabinet has approved several proposals including the extension of the Delhi Chief Minister Advocates’ Welfare Scheme, procurement of mechanical sweepers and water sprinkling machines to control dust pollution and to extend its power subsidy scheme for one year and to provide artificial limbs and other aides to physically disabled persons through a government agency.The Sugamaya Sahayak Scheme for the divyangs aims to enhance the mobility of individuals with benchmark disabilities. Under the scheme, they will be provided aids and appliances such as smart canes, hearing aids, wheelchairs, motorised tricycles, and artificial limbs to enable them to overcome physical barriers, improve their mobility, and pursue education and employmen.
