BSES to install 50 lakh smart meters in city

BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and BSES Yamuna Power Limited will instal 50 lakh smart meters in the national Capital with a capital outlay of Rs 5,000 crore to Rs 6000 crore. The tendering process is slated to be finalised by July 2023. The project is likely to commence before the year end. This project aims to equip BSES with smart meters, positioning it as India’s first fully digital utility.

When asked, a BSES spokesperson said, “We are a committed world-class smart power distribution company working in the interest of 5 million consumers and 20 million residents in Delhi”.
