B’pur residents submit memo for CC road, drain

Around 50 residents, mostly senior citizens, of Kalinga Vihar under Dura Gram Panchayat have submitted a memorandum recently to the Executive Engineer of Rural Development here, demanding construction of a 30-foot concrete road with drains in both sides. Kalinga Vihar is located very close to the city at Berhampur-Gopalpur main road. There are over 300 people residing in the area.

An approach road that emanates from Dura-Pathara Junction Main Road and stretches up to 500- meter via Nataraj Niwas Apartment is yet to be made a concrete road.

In spite of the repeated demands made by the local public to transform the road to a concrete one, their demand goes unheeded, said a resident.
