Kolkata: Puja is over but except a few stretches which have been hurriedly patched up, most of the road stretches, specially the streets and lanes inside the blocks across Salt Lake, remain in terrible shape.
Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) authorities said that they were planning to take up full-fledged road repair work after offices resume this week following the puja festivities.
“Patchwork was done on the most damaged stretches before puja. Full-fledged road repair work will now be taken up as offices are to resume from Monday,” said a civic official.
