Bhopal railway station selected for ‘Madhya Pradesh Annual Environment Award’

Bhopal railway station has been selected by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for the ‘Madhya Pradesh Annual Environment Award’. This award will be given in the award distribution function organized by the Madhya Pradesh government for various commendable works done at Bhopal station in the direction of environmental protection.

Regular cleaning of station premises for environmental protection, treatment of waste water from all platforms, passenger waiting rooms, retiring rooms and service buildings etc. is done through sewage treatment plant set up at Bhopal station. The capacity of this plant is 10 lakh liters per day, through which the treated water is re-stored and used for washing all the platforms and washing of washable aprons and for water use in the developed gardens etc.
