Bengaluru airport announces the Call for Artwork program for city artists

Artists and art groups can now help in beautifying Bengaluru airport. Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has announced Call for Artwork, inviting artists and art groups to submit proposals for art at Terminal 2 (T2) of Kempegowda International Airport. The terminal will reflect two themes – Karnataka’s rich heritage and culture and Naurasa – the nine emotions highlighted in Bharata’s Natyashastra.

However, the proposals, invited for specific locations across T2, should be original and not a replica of previous work. An independent advisory panel and BIAL stakeholders will evaluate the proposals.

“This is a great opportunity for artists to showcase their talent at an airport, which provides great visibility to both the artwork as well as artists,” said a BIAL spokesperson.
