Balance sheet healthier than ever: Gautam Adani
MUMBAI: Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani on Tuesday reiterated that the Hindenburg report, which was published on January 24, on his conglomerate was a combination of targeted misinformation and discredited allegations — majority of them dating from 2004 to 2015. They were all settled by appropriate authorities at that time, he said, while addressing the annual shareholder meetings of two group companies — Adani Enterprises and Adani Total Gas. The chairman said the group’s balance sheet was “healthier than ever before”.
He termed the US shortseller’s report a “deliberate and malicious attempt aimed at damaging our reputation and generating profits through a short-term drive-down of our stock prices”.
