Ashwini Vaishnav for rapidly integrating new technologies in Railways

Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnav said, “We need to rapidly integrate new technology into railways, especially in rolling stock, construction, security, cyber security, or situations where there is human interface.”

RailTel, has been entrusted with the implementation of an important project of Indian Railways, in which the work of installation of Video Surveillance System (VSS) (Network of CCTV Cameras) at Railway Stations has been initiated in which a total of 756 major railway stations of Indian Railways will be covered.

A total of 15 railway stations of West Central Railway will also be included in this. This work is likely to be completed by January 2023. The work of remaining stations will be covered at the time of implementation of Phase-II.
