Almost 50% domestic flight operations have started in September: Hardeep Singh Puri

GUWAHATI:Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday said 50 percent of the domestic flight operations had started in the month of September.

Participating through video conference on the launch of air cargo by SpiceJet NSE -1.88 % in Guwahati, Puri said, “ I have been saying this to airline operators in April-May that demand will come back and by September at least 50 percent of domestic flights operations have started.”

He added, “We are opening more and ready to support the operators from the government to expand internationally.”

SpiceJet has launched 14 new cargo flights to and from North Eastern India using its Bombardier Q400 freighters.
