Alliance Air to start Chennai- Jaffna commercial flights on Nov 11

CHENNAI: Alliance Air will start commercial flights between Chennai airport and Jaffna on November 11. The airline, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, launched the inaugural international flight from Chennai International airport to Jaffna international airport and back on October 17.
The scheduled flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Flight 9I 101 will depart from Chennai at 10.35am and arrive in Jaffna at noon.
Flight 9I 102 will depart from Jaffna at 12.45pm and arrive in Chennai at 2.10pm.
The starting fares on the Chennai-Jaffna route will be Rs 3,990 plus taxes and on the Jaffna-Chennai route will be $45 (Rs 3,182.65) plus taxes.
