Airline behaved rudely with my 12-year-old at Bengaluru airport: Dad

BENGALURU: A 12-year-old school boy was all set to fly from Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday morning to his parents’ home in Chandigarh to spend his midterm break, but his joy was short-lived.

He allegedly had a harrowing experience at KIA when he went to board a Vistara flight to Ludhiana as the airline’s ground staff demanded that he pay Rs 2,500 as unaccompanied minor service fee before boarding and get a mandatory declaration form filled by his parents.

The parent claimed the airline failed to alert him on procedures despite him reaching out to them in advance.
