Airfare to key destinations nosedives as vacation ends

HYDERABAD: With summer vacation drawing to a close and schools reopening, flight fares on many routes connecting Hyderabad have seen a substantial drop. These include destinations such as Delhi, Mumbai and even Visakhapatnam.

While a flight from Delhi to the city in the second week of June shot up to as high as Rs 15,000, or even more on some days, the fare has now plateaued at around Rs 4,500 for an adult — over a 200% decrease. “Until Dasara vacation, the fares are more or less going to be the same.
