Air India receives financial bids; Announcement of new owners by end of this month

Air India has received financial bids from a couple of interested parties today and new owners for the national carrier are likely to be announced by the end of this month. Privatisation of loss-making Air India is being touted as one of the biggest reforms by this government.

“Financial bids for Air India disinvestment received by Transaction Adviser. Process now moves to the concluding stage,” DIPAM secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey tweeted.
