1 lakh residential consumers of MSEDCL get new power connections in 10 days
MUMBAI: Over one lakh residential consumers got power connections from MSEDCL in just ten days. This is because of streamlining of procedures to expedite new connections and also minimising paper work to get a new connection from a state power utility, a senior official said.
The MSEDCL has a total 2.8 crore consumers serving parts of Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan, Vasai-Virar and rest of state. “We have also reduced the errors in meter reading for our consumers while at the same time receiving online payments from 65% consumers through Netbanking, UPI etc,” he added.
