World Braille Day: Akasa Air launches Braille in-flight safety manual and dining menu; will make air travel inclusive and accessible
Akasa Air has launched a Braille-scripted in-flight safety manual and dining menu for passengers with visual impairment. The airline has partnered with Xavier’s Resource Centre for Visually Challenged (XRCVC) to develop the airline’s safety manual and flight dining menu in Braille.
The Braille in-safety manual explains safety instructions in English and Hindi. It provides detailed information such as seatbelt operation, location of emergency exits, lift jackets and tactile diagrams that orient passengers to aircraft and aircraft positions and other safety information.
