World Bank approves $200 million loan to Himachal Pradesh for undertaking reforms

The World Bank on Tuesday approved a loan of $200 million for the Himachal Pradesh government to help the state undertake power sector reforms.

This, according to the World Bank, will contribute to the attempt of increasing the share of renewable energy (RE) by adding 10,000 megawatts (10 gigawatts) of additional RE capacity to make the state’s power supply greener.
