The executive committee of the Smart City Mission has issued work orders to the lowest bidders of two projects — bio-mining and smart roads — worth nearly Rs84 crore today.
After participating in a virtual meeting of the committee chaired by PMIDC CEO Ajoy Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said the Smart City Mission had allotted the project of closing of 8-lakh metric tonnes garbage dump at Wariana village in the next two years at a cost of Rs32.11 crore by initiating bio-remediation method at the site. He said the project would provide a major relief to the city as the massive dump would be cleared in a scientific manner.
