Woman, son electrocuted in Jajapur
In a shocking incident, a 42-year-old woman and her nine- year-old son were electrocuted on Saturday night after coming in contact with a high-tension electric wire at Nalipur village under the Balichandrapur police station in Jajpur district.
The house of Sara Biwi caught fire due to an electric short circuit, following which Chanda Biwi and her son Wasim Khan rushed to douse the flames.
But both accidentallycame in contact with a loose live wire and were electrocuted on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot and seized the bodies. “We have sent the bodies to the local Government hospital for autopsy. Police are investigating the case,” said Balichandrapur PS IIC Sukant Patra.
