With a little help from oil and the dollar, IndiGo will have a perfect storm of profitability in Q3: Ronojoy Dutta
“There is a lot of growth in the aviation industry and that allows lots of new players to come in. So far, the other players are behaving rationally. Fortunately, we have industry veterans in all the airlines – whether it is Jet or Akasa – and they know how to behave rationally. So I am optimistic,” says the outgoing Interglobe Aviation NSE 3.81 % CEO Ronojoy Dutta.
How is the revenue outlook of IndiGo?
The revenue outlook is very strong. As we have said a number of times, very few Indians – only about 7% – actually fly. We are seeing a great improvement in revenue, particularly in the smaller cities. We started flying to and from Darbhanga, Bareilly, Deogarh and all of them were full. So, we are doing very well in the small cities and we are very optimistic about the future.
