With 1,000 Taxibot movements, Delhi airport saves 214,000 litres of fuel
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the company that operates Delhi airport, today announced that the use of taxibots, which completes 1,000 movements today, has saved around 214,000 litres of jet fuel of airlines and reduced carbon at the airport by around 532 tonnes.
“Introduced two years ago, the use of TaxiBot’s have helped in reducing around 532 tonnes of Carbon at Delhi Airport. It also helped airlines in saving around 214,000 litres of aviation turbine fuel (ATF), which was supposed to be burned by the aircraft during taxiing,” the airport operator said.
