Will offer free electricity if we win: Kejriwal in Goa
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday promised up to 300 units of free electricity per household in Goa and free power to farmers if his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is voted to power in the 2022 assembly elections in the state.
“I have come to give a guarantee that if our party comes to power, each family, each month will get 300 free units (of electricity). Just like in Delhi, the bill will come to your home but the amount to be paid will be zero. No tax, no surcharge,” said Kejriwal, who is on a two-day visit to the poll-bound state.
He said in Delhi, 73% of the people were availing free electricity. “In Goa, 87% of the state will have to pay zero electricity bills,” he said.
