West Bengal coal smuggling: CBI files first charge sheet
The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) filed its first charge sheet on Tuesday against 41 accused, including several mining companies, absconding individuals Anup Majhi and Binay Mishra and eight former Eastern Coalfield Ltd (ECL) officials, in connection with the alleged multi-crore coal pilferage scam.
The CBI is investigating the matter and if the alleged accused, who have been named in the chargesheet, had links and had given money to any heavyweights, it will be investigated, sources said.
