Waskhura-Handwara road in shambles
Residents of Waskhura village here on Monday accused authorities of failing to repair the road connecting the area to the main town.
Residents said the road was dotted with potholes which makes the journey a back-breaking exercise. Abdul Qayoom a resident said Waskhura was located just 1.5 km from the main town. “Still we have been deprived of basic amenities. From drinking water to road connectivity, we are lagging behind,” he said.
Another resident Farooq Ahmad Dar said at a time when the authorities were either repairing the roads or macadamising them their village has been one again neglected.
