‘Wake turbulence’ causes IndiGo plane to stall briefly

An IndiGo-operated Airbus suffered “engine stall” warning for a few seconds as it encountered wake turbulence created by a Boeing 777 flying from the opposite direction.

On Monday, an Airbus 320 CEO plane operating as part of IndiGo’s Guwahati-Mumbai flight experienced a mid-air incident. IndiGo’s aircraft “came into the wake turbulence of opposite traffic Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft” on Monday, a source at aviation regulator DGCA said.
