Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast plans $500 mn investment to expand Tamil Nadu plant
Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast Thursday said it is looking at investing an additional $500 million to purchase 500 acres of land to expand its manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.
The company intends to utilise the incremental capacity to commence production of electric scooters and electric buses in the country. VinFast said it will develop up new dedicated workshops, and production lines for electric scooters and electric buses covering manufacturing, assembly, testing and related operations.
