Vande Bharat to connect Jammu and Srinagar soon

Come 2024 the twin SMART cities of Jammu and Srinagar will be connected with the Vande Bharat Metro services. The announcement was made by the Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday after he travelled on the track-mounted trolley with railway officials and inspected the iconic arch bridge having the height of 359 metres from the Chenab riverbed in the Reasi district of Jammu province.

General Manager Northern Railway Ashutosh Gangal, M.D/ KRCL, Sanjay Gupta, CAO/C, USBRL, S.P. Mahi , Divisional Railway Manager, Ferozpur, Dr. Seema Sharma, accompanied the union minister during the inspection.

Addressing media persons standing in front of the arch bridge Ashwini Vaishnaw said the USBRL project will be completed by December this year or January 2024.
