Vande Bharat sleeper trains by March 2024: Ashwini Vaishnaw

The first batch of sleeper variant of Vande Bharat trains will roll out in March 2024, Union railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told ET, adding that plans for introducing these trains are on track.

“The Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai is readying the design for sleeper variant Vande Bharat trains by December-end,” he said. “The first few trains will be ready by March.”
