UPERC hearing for hike in power tariff from April

Electricity regulator UP Electricity Regulatory Commission will commence the public hearing for a hike in power tariff from April.

The hearing will commence from Varanasi on April 10.

UP Power Corporation Limited, along with its five wholly owned subsidiaries, have filed ARR (annual revenue requirement) with the power regulator seeking hike in power tariff ranging from 18 per cent to 23 per cent for the next fiscal 2023-24 commencing from April 1.

The power regulator, during the public hearing, will record the views of the power consumers on the UPPCL seeking hike in power tariff.
