UPCL to ensure uninterrupted power to Oxygen plants

In view of the increasing demand of life saving oxygen during the second wave of the pandemic of Covid-19, the Uttarakhand Power Corporation (UPCL) has decided to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the oxygen manufacturing plants. The corporation has also appointed two nodal officers at the headquarters to monitor the situation of power supply to these plants.

The Managing Director (MD) of the UPCL, Neeraj Khairwal, had a virtual meeting with the officials of the corporation on Friday. He said that preventive maintenance is essential for uninterrupted supply to the oxygen plants and for it patrolling of feeders should be done and it should be ensured that there are no tree branches within two meters of the power lines.
